Maddy studied at Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin receiving her BS in Nutrition and Dietetics. She eventually became the Director of Dietetics at a local hospital, experiencing the thrill of managing a team of dietitians. She served as President for the Nevada Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics from 2020-2023. In 2023 she was awarded Nevada’s Outstanding Dietitian of the Year.
Maddy’s nutrition counselling style has an emphasis on intuitive eating; a concept that embraces one’s ability to honor hunger cues and reject societal dieting rules. As the founder of Desert Dietitians, she is enthusiastic about serving Vegas, using food to improving the lives of locals.

Dominique received her BS in Dietetics from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Born and raised Vegas, her local roots makes her passionate about sharing her nutrition expertise with the community of Las Vegas and Henderson. Her experience has an emphasis in clinical nutrition, having served various inpatient settings in the valley.
Dominique believes in simplifying nutrition for those with chronic diseases. She loves to share recipes and easy meal prep tips to show people that good nutrition can be fun, easy, and totally attainable. Although she celebrates nutrition preferences of all kinds, she has followed a plant-based diet for over 20 years, making her a great resource for someone considering that lifestyle.

Emma grew up in Pennsylvania but moved to Las Vegas where she earned her degree in Sports Nutrition at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Emma is passionate about researching supplements for efficacy and safety, finding quality sources of affordable food, and creating quick and healthy recipes suitable for one’s conditions and goals.
She believes in a client centered approach and provides current comprehensive evidence on an individual’s nutritional interests. Emma can help you create sustainable healthy habits tailored to your lifestyle.

Rivka earned her degree in Dietetics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and brings a strong clinical background to her work across two specialty hospitals and a skilled nursing facility. Raised in Las Vegas, she’s passionate about serving her local community through personalized nutrition care and education. Her experience spans a variety of inpatient settings, where she helps patients manage medical conditions through thoughtful, evidence-based nutrition interventions.
As an Orthodox Jew who keeps a kosher diet and practices mindful eating, Rivka values the connection between food, culture, and personal beliefs. She enjoys helping patients simplify nutrition and build habits that are both sustainable and meaningful. With a warm and practical approach, she aims to make healthy eating feel accessible—no matter a person’s background or dietary needs.

Edeliz is a highly experienced Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of dedicated service in the healthcare field. Her professional journey began as a Registered Nurse at Sunrise Hospital before she transitioned into advanced practice after earning her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. With a robust clinical foundation built over nine years at TeamHealth and further specialized training from Touro University Nevada, Edeliz has cultivated a reputation for being an incredibly knowledgeable and caring provider. Now with Desert Dietitians, she leverages her extensive background in acute and primary care to provide comprehensive, high-quality medical guidance to her patients.
When it comes to nutrition and wellness, Edeliz moves beyond quick fixes to focus on sustainable, long-term health solutions. She believes that nutrition is the cornerstone of preventative medicine and works closely with her patients to develop realistic habits that align with their unique lifestyles. Keyana Wilfred studied at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in Nutrition and Dietetics and Kinesiology. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Dietetics at Utah State University. With Desert Dietitians, Keyana supports the team by creating engaging and informative social media content focused on nutrition and wellness.
As a former UNLV student-athlete, Keyana is passionate about health, fitness, and the role nutrition plays in overall well-being. She has experience with intentional fueling for high-intensity sports and enjoys meal prepping, cooking, and expanding her love for food. Keyana is dedicated to helping others build a healthy lifestyle and sharing what a balanced, positive relationship with food can look like.

Allison Miera is a registered dietitian and mother of two who delights in cooking and sharing healthy, delicious meals. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, she moved to Las Vegas in 2016. Allison holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of New Mexico and a B.S. in Nutrition Sciences from UNLV, where she is also pursuing her M.S. in Nutrition Sciences.
As an outpatient and clinical dietitian, Allison is passionate about improving lives through medical nutrition therapy and teaching sustainable, healthy eating habits. Her work is driven by a love for nutrition and a commitment to enhancing overall well-being.

Ashlyn is a graduate of UNLV where she received her BS in Nutrition Sciences and was a member of the triathlon team. She is completing her Masters of Dietetic Administration through Utah State University and will be eligible to become a Registered Dietitian in August of 2026. With Desert Dietitians she meets one on one with clients for nutrition consultation, conducts metabolic testing, and provides meaningful content for social media and patient education. Ashlyn is a mother and is a professional photographer. She was born and raised in Las Vegas and loves the community of the valley.
She believes nutrition has the power to be transformative and that small, daily habits are the key to lasting change. Ashlyn has experienced the change that comes from intentional eating habits and is devoted to helping others reach their goals. Having previously studied marketing she understands that both the foods and diets that are being thrown at us daily can be confusing. She wants to help people learn to listen to their bodies and be in control of their own health.

Ian Dodge holds a B.F.A. in Dance (2006) and a B.S. in Nutrition Sciences (2021) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. After retiring from professional performing for 15 years, Ian joined the UNLV Department of Dance Associate Faculty in Fall, 2019. After completing his dietetic internship with Madeline at Horizon Specialty Hospital, Ian became a registered dietitian, nutritionist in December of 2022, where he worked briefly in the community realm in Ryan White, Part A, HIV/AIDS care. Ian is currently full time in acute care with Southern Hills Hospital in Las Vegas, NV, part time in long term care with Desert Dietitians, and part time with Nutrition Moves, providing nutrition services to those with disabilities throughout the Las Vegas Valley area.
